Template Thursdays: Man-Up

October 21, 2010

Isaiah and I are co-tackling this week’s Template Thursdays. We’ve been frustrated by some pretty weenie tactics we’ve seen the men in our lives using lately to the point that we decided we had to do something to help. Introducing the Man-Up Card. This card is to be used in the event that a man or wo-man in your life needs a reminder to quit acting like a child hiding under a desk because they got punished. Like, for example, the day after you decide on a divorce, you suggest your wife hock her wedding ring to add more fundage to split. Without any further ado – the Man-Up Card.

For more information on why you should use the Man-Up Card, the follow up is below.

Isaiah’s take on the Man-Up Card:

Macho man!   Yeah, a mans man… braun and brains with a sense of humor to boot.  A man that knows when to fight and when to back down… how to be a tenderoni.  Not all men are so lucky to have these and many other noble, attractive, and majestic qualities.  When in the face of a disagrement some might lash out against the ones they love. Others may take the low road more often than the high.  Some might ONLY ever have themselves in mind. These sniveling sorts aren’t one of mine, and hope they’re not one of yours.

That being said, with the exclusion of details, I’ve heard disappointing stories recently of men acting like asses and I must address it.  Certainly, we all have moments we aren’t proud of, times we regret, but that’s when it’s time to MAN UP, take responsibility and do what you have to to make it right or some semblance of.  I know not everything is fixable, but as long as you can admit to your mistakes, climb out of the ashes, do the right thing when its hardest to do and accept the consequences, well my friend,  you can call yourself a MAN/… WO-MAN (wink).
