Glo Giveaway!

October 4, 2010

Short story to tell you first. I was forced to take my third college science course this semester: Environmental Science. (Can you tell I’m just ridiculously lacking in the love department for science?) I used to be the girl dumping trash out my window on the highway, and I hate to be the stereotypical “Oh! The O-Zone! I get it…” girl…but yeah, mine eyes have seen the practicality. Anyway, planning a wedding has a lot of waste. Not typical-week-in-the-life-of-an-average-upper-middle-class-American-family style waste, but waste nonetheless. E-vites are becoming a semi-popular choice and what better way to go the environmentally friendly route than the free way?

We’re pumped to host our second giveaway, thanks to Glo and Nicole from The Plunge Project!  Glo offers online stationary and wedding websites including online RSVP’s and event management. The giveaway is for the “Large Celebration” package on Glo, valued at $119.00.  The package includes unlimited pages, guest list manager and unlimited events and RSVP questions for an unlimited number of guests. Oh, and unlimited online stationary. So hello, easy planning.

To enter:

  • Sign up for a free trial on Glo. It takes just a minute and you can browse around and get familiar with the site.
  • Leave a comment. Tell us why you want to use Glo or paperless wedding invitations.

P.S. One of the great things about Glo is that you can use your own design as your wedding website design. You can upload your own e-vite stationary and send it out…and then have your wedding website match to boot.

The winner will be selected randomly using a randomized number generator, so shameless flattery won’t help, but it doesn’t hurt {wink wink}, just kidding.

Anyways, check it out, leave a quick comment and the winner will be announced Friday, October 8th at 9 p.m.

Entries that slip in before 8:45 p.m. on Friday will be entered.

[In my college-station-anchorwoman voice] In other news, Etsy prices lowered this week, leaving printable invitations at 50% off. [Normal voice] Check it out.

Isaiah and I also enjoyed a super casual walk that took us on a five hour journey through downtown Denton. Why can’t every city be as cool as Denton? Why can’t [elbow elbow] our hometown in Illinois be as cool as Denton? It wouldn’t be so tempting to stay here if it were.

Anyway, good luck!

I would totally enter this except that I can already see Tony’s eyebrows knitting together with consternation at the thought that I would use a website that was not coded by him (even though he also complains about the whole “bus man’s holiday” issue of not really wanting to get around to setting up our website and RSVP system because that’s what he does all day for, you know, money).

So anyway, totes jealous of whoever wins this contest.
