Geek Out: 3rd Edition
I am completely bonkers with strep throat right now, so I figured I could empty out my seemingly endless wedding bookmarks into something that resembles an inspirational post. Hence, the geek-out series. Here are a few weddings that have had me going a little bananas lately.
Check out this deliciously budget friendly ($4,500!) wedding featured on Budget Savvy Bride. The couple recounts how they made it in that ridiculously low budget and how the details came together as well.
These invitations + this entire-freaking-wedding blew my mindhole. Check it out for yourself, from The Loveliest Day. Best of all, the invites were made by a close friend of the couple and their friends helped them seal each invite closed.
I love the vibe of this wedding from Green Wedding Shoes, from the pick-your-own-navy bridesmaid dresses, the bridesmaid bouquets to the taco truck and a million other details.
If you saw this wedding from Rock’n Roll Bride, a freaking sushi-fest, I’m sure you freaked as much as I did. Isaiah and I were all…”Wait…You can have sushi at a wedding?” after seeing this rockstar couple’s setup. This wedding SCREAMS a wedding I would die to be invited to…so, naturally, we’re bookmarking the style for later.
I don’t normally freak out over dress styles…but when I saw this on Hundred Layer Cake, I died a tiny bit.
I’ve seen this one on everyone’s Friday Favs and what-not, and I fell in love with it as well. The backdrop of this delightful Austin budget-friendly wedding from Ruffled is worth geeking out over.
Hopefully enough to tide over the wedding eye-candiness. I have been bookmarking like crazy lately, trying to keep track of all of the weddings my wedding wants to be like when it grows up.
Geek out!

SOUP!? That sounds delightful. I’ve been wondering why nothing tasted good all week, and it’s because I didn’t think to make SOUP!
one year later, and i still get pangs of, “AHHHH my wedding must look like this!” ness.

Not so much, it’s a long story including a very crappy doctor.

Gah! Those hand-painted wedding invitations are crazy awesome.
haha have you seen louis c.k.’s bit about getting sick because his daughter coughed in his mouth…because she thinks you share secrets by talking into someone’s mouth. hilarious.
