Template Thursdays: One-Week Absence
So, if you didn’t know, I had my wisdom teeth out this week. Because of that, haven’t had time to make a template this week. HOWEVER, I did want to share my very favorite template from The Wedding Chicks:
That is the coolest way to ask someone to be your groomsmen, if you ask me. Make sure you take a second to dig through all of the Wedding Chick templates, they are uber-great.
Surprise!
We have a surprise coming Monday, that we are really excited about! Hopefully, you’ll be just as excited as us about it! We are also cooking up a guest post that we’re pumped about! So, I guess, technically, it’s SURPRISE(S)!
Be sure to check out Angie’s (One Cat Per Person) guest post yesterday, if you haven’t had a chance!
Sorry for the slight absence, should have everything all back to normal by the end of this week and my HORRIFIC (actually, pretty mild) surgery story to share. Thanks for the patience, enjoy the Wedding Chicks’ templates if you didn’t know about them already!
Ouch! Wisdom teeth extraction stinks. I hope you’re feeling better soon.
As cute as that “will you be my groomsman” card is, I have to wonder if guys really get into asking via cards? I totally get it with women and bridesmaid invitations, but do guys get all kerfluffled over getting a written, fancy invitation to be a groomsman? This seems crazy to me.
Haha. I understand where you’re coming from. I think that’s why I love that this one says, “Dude.” The other best part is that it could easily passed sans envelope over a beer or something and it can be blamed on the fiance. “Lizzie made me” haha. Kidding. I still think it’s adorable. Maybe I’m not ultra ladylike, but I would ask my bridesmaids with something similar…loving the “dude”
I love the “dude” part, just not seeing this fly IRL. This seems much more like the kind of a conversation where the groom-to-be buys his friend a beer (“I’ve got this one”) and then says, “So, um, err, you know … I asked Jill to marry me and um, err, she said yes and now I guess I need a best man and um, well, err, would you mind?”
Haha I feel ya. Definitely feel ya.
I want to make one of these for my sister that says:
Yo, bitch.
Will you hold my dress up while I pee?
Just kidding. I can pee alone. Really, I can.
xo!
love this!! haha!
HAHA, Hilariousness..The first wedding I was a maid-of-honor in, the bride kept ordering me around, she had a REALLY simple dress…2 layers, calf-length and asked…neigh, ordered me to help her pee. I was all: “Really?”
Oh my gosh, a surprise? Is it:
– You’re “with child”?
– Your engagement photos?
– You’re going to elope and this whole blog has been a big hoax, a piece of performance art?
– You have a new job at Fox News?
I like the groomsmen cards. I asked my best man to be my best man before the engagement was even official, and he freaked out and squealed and was pretty great about it.
Haha. FOX NEWS!
I have to tell you, Bret. I am an intern at an NPR affiliate out here, public radio. I always tell Isaiah when I drive up that it’s so beautiful…butterflies and greenery…BIG trees, flowers…all in the middle of Dallas. I told him: “Fox news is probably in the desert, surrounded by faults in the ground and vultures. A dead guy’s skeleton and a half-empty building in a vast wasteland.” Sorry if you like it…for you, I mean…I feel sorry for you if you like it. Haha. Which, unless I am reading you wrong, you don’t.
Oooh! I wanted to intern at NPR. Alas, could not afford to live in DC without a stipend.
I hear ya! I’m interning in Dallas, we syndicate most of the programming, but we have some great original programming on the talk station…I intern on the music station though, which I LOVE! Great music on public radio. Do you have a public music station out by you?
No, you’re right. Fox News is the Devil’s spawn. And I’m not even religious.
i love the groomsman cards!! how nifty!
btw, i have a blog award for you 🙂
Haha, I thought they were sweet too!
You have a whaty-whaty for me?! {CHEESE}
super duper cute as ALWAYS.
Thank The Wedding Chicks, their templates are so neat!
