From Him Mondays: Molar Mayhem
Whats up yo! Its the fella writin’ this while loosely watching Hook. Lizzie is feelin’ a little under the weather so we’ve kinda taken the night off. We got some kick-ass Chinese and chilled. Good times. Lizzie caught this:
“We could do anything or nothing! All it had to be was anything, cause it was always us.” – Tink
Kind of reminded us of how things have been lately. Since the wisdom teeth problem, we’ve just been laying low, watching movies, playing video games, ordering Dominos (have you tried their new pizza? It’s pretty damn good…coming from a snooty-Chicago-pizza-lover). Since she’s usually ultra-productive (little miss Energizer Bunny over here), we’ve been enjoying the down-time.
Anyway, today when she got to the dentist, they told her she (girl in intense pain) she couldn’t be seen due to a mixup, but they did give her this groovy x-ray from a past visit that clearly illustrates the future problem that has since come to fruition and now needs to get fixed. (notice the far right bottom molar…your right) We had way too much fun with this x-ray for longer than two adults should broadcast.
Shes been super troopin’ with the pain all weekend including Saturday night when we got to go see the fantastic band Midlake on their home turf which so happens to be our new turf. Great show… unfortunately we stayed for like five songs and peaced the joint… the venue was unreasonably hot which might not have bothered me if i was 17 and at one of those raves us old folk used to go to but between her tooth ache, and my old ass we had to jet. I was happy we got to hear two of our favorites Van Occupanther and Young Bride. The venue woulda been better to use a little thing called friggen air conditioning.
In other news Lego Batman has owned us for the last few days…or rather, we’ve owned it. What up!? Ruf-i-oh!
Well, back to never never land… (insert bad Mr.King of Pop Joke here)
more to come soon.
Bangarang, Rufio!
Josh’s favorite Hook quote: “I want a dolly. I want to cookie. I want. I want. I want. Me! Me! Me!” He does a very good Hook impression. I’ve been convincing him to grow his hair back out ONLY to be Captain James Hook for Halloween 2012.
Chinese and chillin’ is always good. I’m actually jealous you guys are able to lay so low playing video games and goofing around with x-rays. Much rather do that then plan a wedding.
AND. So jealous you guys have it in you to go to shows, even if it is for five songs. Can’t remember the last time we heard live music. Ew, I feel old.
Really? The kid actors are like my favorite part of that movie. They fouund some phenomenal-not-annoying kid stars. I love that little guy from What About Bob?
Haha 2012!! What what?! Didn’t you hear, Angie? (Or watch the John Cusack movie?) We’re not gonna be here. Sad. Kidding.
Check out your local public radio station, we give out free tickets ALL the time and you usually just have to pass out flyers or something at the beginning of the show.
Once we started getting deals…we couldn’t help but check it out….funny how free stuff is somehow an obligation.
Going to shows again is something that just started back up for us thanks to Lizzie and her hookups. Having had to work retail and waiting tables took all my umph before so it’s nice to be able to enjoy my freakn life again. Dustin Hoffman is one of the best there ever was and its funny how Mr. Williams and Hoffman were on screen opposite each other, two men who have as among their most famous roles playing women… I actually think that Doubtfire came after though.
Don’t get me talkin movie talk… it’ll be on like donkey kong.
I’m glad we’re back out and on the town again. Death to retail! Except…where would we shop if we staged a massive strike? Woops. (back out slowly).
By the way…you WOULD notice something ridiculous like that.
Lizzie! Oh gosh, I hope you are feeling better soon. Wisdom teeth are crazy ouchie. Kinda love the xray photos though, not going to lie! (Hi to Lizzie’s man!)
Hi and “hi!” Thanks so much for the get well soon wishes!
